Buyers Guide:
Private House Move Ltd offers the medium for anybody in the UK to sell or rent their home privately free of charge.
However, unlike an Estate Agent, we do not visit any properties to independently detail measurements, appliances or state the properties asking price. This is left entirely to the seller.
Properties on our website:
Our customers (the seller) are given the ability to create their own property template. This on-line template allows them to describe their properties features and details including the display of photographs. The details within this template including the asking price can be changed and edited by the seller at any time during the day or night.
Any property information should be used by you as a general guide. It is intended to help you decide whether you wish to view this property.
Please note that we do not have direct control over the accuracy of this information as we rely mostly on what the seller tells us. However, we always advise the seller that it would waste everybody’s time if the information displayed regarding their property is inaccurate or misleading.
Our Recommendations:
- Any references on measurements, appliances or
property features should be carefully checked directly with the seller.
- We always recommend you obtain a surveyor’s report
before exchanging contracts.
- Instruct a solicitor/conveyancer to investigate all
legal matters relating to the property.
- Finally, always verify all information yourself before committing to any purchase
Important information regarding Estate Agents:
There are several myths regarding Estate Agents:
- Myth 1: An Estate Agent values your property
- Myth 2: I need an Estate Agent to take care of the legal side of selling
An Estate Agent does not value your property, they only recommend an asking price based on similar properties within the area. For a true valuation you would require a surveyor.
Estate Agents are not legal professionals and have no legal qualifications. If you are selling with or without an Estate Agent, you will need to instruct a conveyancer or solicitor to carry out the coveyancing for you.
And finally:
Please note: because we are a private property advertiser we do not get involved in any negotiations regarding the sale of any properties. These negotiations are left entirely to the buyer and seller.
